Miracles always seem like fiction until they happen, then they're fact.
Faith Like Potatoes chronicles the journey of a farmer, Angus Buchan, through his early life in Africa and the many troubles and tribulations he suffered before and after giving his life to Christ.
We see the amazing transformation that occurred, and how God used him mightily to perform miracles and preach to multitudes. The overriding message in the movie is his faith in planting potatoes in ground that could not support the crop and believing that God would bless the land and provide a bountiful harvest.
The long wait that ensues from planting to harvest time climaxes in a scene where the first potato is dug up and behold, it is a good and healthy yield!

This is a good movie overall, despite its somewhat slow pace. It has a strong Christian message, that may not win skeptics over, but serves to reinforce the faith of Christians. Since this is a true story, there is no allowance to critique the storyline, but we can appreciate the film-making and acting which were well done.
